PYC provides relief material to flood-hit people

JAMMU, Aug 31: As per the instructions of Indian Youth Congress (IYC) president Uday Bhanu Chib, the J&K Pradesh Youth Congress (JKPYC) team carried out a relief distribution drive in the flood-affected areas of Jammu East under the guidance of IYC secretary Incharge J&K Maan Singh Rathore and JKPYC general secretary Anirudh Sawhney.
The PYC team distributed relief material including medicines, clothes and food, led by Assembly president Jammu East Mehul Abrol, in the presence of Ward president Ward No. 3 Sahil Dogra, accompanied by Divya Sharma (General Secretary PYC), Anmol Kohli (Secretary PYC), Showkat Hussain Malik, and other youth leaders.
Relief supplies including essential medicines and food material were distributed to the affected families to provide immediate support in this time of crisis.
Speaking on the issue, the Youth Congress leaders emphasized that their foremost priority is to stand by the people of Jammu East who have suffered immense losses due to the recent floods. They stressed that timely delivery of relief, especially food and medicines, is crucial to ensure that affected families do not face additional hardships while recovering from the natural calamity.
Youth Congress leaders urged the administration to expedite the process of assessing damages and compensating the affected households. They underlined that while civil society and PYC are playing their role in providing immediate relief, it is ultimately the responsibility of the Government to ensure long-term rehabilitation and adequate compensation for such families.
