JAMMU, Apr 10: A number of private school owners, under the banner of Jammu Kashmir Private Schools Association (JKPSA) called on Nazir–Ul –Hussain Shah, Administrative Officer, Fee Fixation Committee and alleged harassment by the School Education authorities.
The JKPSA members highlighted how a simple circular issued by FFC on 03/04/19 for the schools affiliated with CBSE was being manipulated and misdirected by the office of Director School Education Jammu although it has already been clearly settled and stated that the judgment passed by the Division Bench of J&K High Court does not apply to the schools whose fee structure stands regularized by the FFC or who have submitted their fee details in compliance to the order issued by FFC on 28/01/19 in circular no. 01 FFC of 2019 dated 26-03-19.
Administrative officer of FFC assured the deputation that law abiding schools would not be harassed.
General secretary of the Association demanded immediate withdrawal of notices issued to the schools by FFC although they have already complied with the order issued by the Committee. He also appealed to the department to show lenience and re-issue a final public notice for such schools which have not submitted the details of fee structure of August 2014, 2018 and 2019 respectively till now, along with their mobile numbers/ email id etc. before taking any action.
