PHAGWARA (Punjab), Jun 23: Indian Air Force’s Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, at an event here, inspired students with her life journey and encouraged them to pursue their true calling fearlessly.
Speaking at a Lovely Professional University (LPU) programme on Saturday, she said her life journey had not been a bed of roses. Still, the goal and the courage always kept her going, Singh asserted.
“No matter what you want to become, be it a painter, actor or pilot, don’t let anybody else colour your stage for you,” Singh said, according to an LPU statement.
The wing commander was among the three persons — Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Col Sofiya Qureshi being the other two — who briefed the nation about India’s ‘Operation Sindoor’ last month.
She emphasised the importance of education, calling it “the wealth that gives you power to stay strong and lead.”
The wing commander, a helicopter pilot in the IAF, underscored the importance of using time judiciously and urged the students to set goals and “steer the boat of your life with direction so that you don’t keep revolving in circles.”
She also advised parents to make their children feel valued so that they don’t seek validation elsewhere.
LPU was celebrating the incoming 2025 batch, and Singh was invited to the event. (PTI)
