JAMMU, Nov 3: Punjabi Sahitak Sabha (PSS), R.S Pura organized a Punjabi literary meeting which was attended by well known Punjabi writers and poets.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, former Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu presided over the meeting whereas Dr. Baljit Singh Raina, president, Punjabi Lekhak Sabha and well known writer, producer & director was the chief guest while Dr. Nirmal Vinod was guest of honour.
Dr. Rajvir Singh, new PSS president R.S Pura also shared the dais.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn appreciated the initiative of new team of PSS to organize the event and applauded the participation of female poetesses in the programme.
Dr. Baljit Raina, Dr. Nirmal Vinod and Dr. Monojit also spoke on this occasion.
Earlier, Dr. Rajvir Singh delivered welcome address and announced the expansion of the executive committee of PPS with Balwinder Singh Deep as senior vice president; Balkar Singh, vice president; JPS Azaad, general secretary/treasurer; Jang S Verman, media advisor and Advisory Committee comprising Harjit Singh Uppal, Bachan Bharti, Shamsher Singh Chohalvi, Bhupinder Bhargav and Suraj Prakash Rattan.
The poets who presented their poetry were JPS Azad, Balwinder Singh Deep, Bachan Bharti, Bhupinder Singh Bhargav, Saran Star, Suraj Prakash Rattan, Renu Sharma, Seeta, Simranjit Kour, Balwinder Singh Jammu, Harjit Singh Uppal, Dr. Nirmal Vinod, Dr. Baljit Raina, Jang S. Verman, Balkar Singh and Pritpal Singh Pal.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Suraj Prakash Rattan and the proceedings were recorded by JPS Azaad.
