NEW DELHI, Nov 16: On the occasion of 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, Government of Punjab honoured 550 known personalities of the world who have contributed in various fields for the betterment of mankind.
At an event organised in Guru Nanak Dev Ji Auditorium of I.K Gujral University, Guru Nanak Dev Ji Achievement Awards were conferred by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh.
Renowned Punjabi Journalist, Amritpal Singh was among those who received the award.
Amritpal Singh has been writing strongly about the happenings in Indian politics, religious & social organisation.
He has travelled with the media team of former Prime Ministers, Atal Bihari Bajpayee and Dr. Manmohan Singh and is currently a part of media team of Prime Minister, Narender Modi and has visited foreign countries several times.
A handout stated that Singh is an accredited Journalist of Parliament and Government of India and is also associated with various religious and social organisations.
