JAMMU, Feb 12: Punjabi cultural festival ‘Phulkari’-which depicts love and bonding between mother and daughter was organised by Pre Primary Wing of Jammu Sanskriti School Jammu with gaiety and fervour, here today.
The event was inaugurated in the benign presence of Anissa Nabi as chief guest, while Anuradha Jangid and Kanchan Dangi were the guests of honour and Rohini Aima (Principal Cum Vice- Chairperson), Sunakshi Anand (Member of School Management), coordinators and parents of our lovely tiny Sanskritians also graced the event.
The event commenced with a traditional lamp lighting ceremony and enchanting of Mool Mantra, followed by welcome accorded to dignitaries by Pre Primary Coordinator Nidhi Kohli. Thereafter, bewitching Gidda, fancy dress and Bhangra performances in colourful Punjabi attire were performed by toddlers who mesmerized the audience.
The chief guest congratulated and appreciated the incredible show put up by the students, while the guests of honour of the event appreciated the staff, students and parents for their hard work and co-ordination to put up this wonderful show during these trying times.
Rohini Aima, Principal cum Vice-Chairperson conveyed her gratitude to the guests of prominence for their presence in the event and appreciated the efforts put in by the Pre Primary wing for making this event a great success. Jagdeep Kaur covered the event beautifully with Prep students, Kavya and Shivansh.
The event was concluded with the felicitation of the dignitaries, while Gurpreet Kour presented the vote of thanks.
