Punjab Wrestler Karan lifts 34th Salora Kesari Title

JAMMU, Apr 18: Pahelwan Karan of Punjab Police from Jallandhar lifted 34th Salora Kesari 2018 Title by defeating Wrestler Nisar Ahmed of J&K Police from Doda in the first malli bout that was played at Salora, here.
Dangal was organized by Salora Dangal Committee in association with J&K Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of President Salora Dangal Committee, Chuni Lal Ramotra and Rajinder Kumar Ramotra.
Joint secretary J&K State Sports Council Shiv Kumar Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion who distributed cash prizes among the winners and runners-up Wrestlers.
Tavraz, PRO to MLA Nagrotra Devender Singh Rana, Retd. SP Prithvi Raj Sharma, SHO Ajay Singh Chib and Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) were the guests of honour.
In all, 62 bouts were played in the one day long event.
Winner of Ist malli bout Karan was awarded with cash prize of Rs 9,000 by Shiv Kumar Sharma, Chuni Lal Ramotra and Rajinder Kumar Ramotra while runners-up Wrestler Nisar was given Rs 6,000 by Prithvi Raj Sharma, Naresh Kumar (Pappu Lakri) and Arun Kumar (Punny).
