Punjab Police arrest key aides of terrorist Lakhvir Singh in major crackdown

CHANDIGARH, Sept 3: In a significant breakthrough today , the Anti-Gangster Task Force (AGTF) of Punjab Police apprehended two key associates of foreign-based terrorist Lakhvir Singh, alias Landa Harike.
The arrested individuals, identified as Vikramjit Singh, alias Vicky, and Harpreet Singh, alias Prince, were found in possession of one .32 caliber pistol, one .315 caliber pistol, and nine live cartridges.
Vikramjit Singh, a proclaimed offender, was wanted in connection with an attempt-to-murder case registered at Jhabal Police Station, Tarn Taran, in March 2024. He had been absconding since the incident. His accomplice, Ajaypal, alias Mota, was previously arrested by Tarn Taran police in March 2025 following a brief exchange of fire.
Both suspects have a history of criminal activities, with cases registered against them under the Attempt to Murder, NDPS Act, Arms Act, and Snatching provisions. Their arrests have provided crucial leads, resolving several pending cases, according to Punjab Police.
