Public holiday on Guru Gyagi Jayanti demanded

JAMMU, Feb 1: Guru Gyagi Mandir Committee has appealed to the Government to declare February 6, Guru Gyagi Ji’s birth anniversary, a public holiday in Jammu district.
This unanimous decision was made during a gathering at village Piri Trai, Akhnoor, emphasizing the revered saint’s teachings of honest labour, compassion and spiritual growth.
RL Kaith, a prominent voice at the meet, highlighted Guru Gyagi’s message: “Earn your living with dignity, share with those in need, and meditate on the True Name.” The committee’s request is inspired by similar recognitions given to other revered saints and seers in the Jammu and Kashmir.
Notable figures among those who attended the meeting include former JMC Councillor Rashpal Bharadwaj, Honorary Captain Kamal Dass Kaith (Retired), Subedar Major Ram Paul Lakhotra (Retired), Naib Subedar Kaku Ram Kaith (Retired), Panch Havildar Baba Ram Kaith (Retired), Havildar Dilay Ram Kaith (Retired), Parma Nand Kaith, Darshan Lal Tugga and Birendra Kaith.
