JAMMU, Jan 29: Pt. R. K Bhat (Ramavtar) was re-elected as President of Youth All India Kashmiri Samaj (YAIKS) in the Margdarshan Sammelan held here today.
During the Sammelan, 71 constituency-wise coordinators, representing all 10 districts of Kashmir valley they originally belonged to, were also elected for the term 2024-2026.
Among the new general council of YAIKS, it was also decided that the YAIKS President is authorized to nominate his office-bearers team and will allot portfolios of the organization in due course of time.
on the occasion, Padamshri Prof. K. N. Pandita was the Chief Guest, while Prof. Rattan Hangloo (former Vice Chancellor of the Allahabad University), Prof. A. N Sadh, Moti Lal Malla, Justice B L Saraf (Retd.), Pran Pandit, Kuldeep Pandita, M K Yogi, Ashok Dhar, Kuldeep Raina and Sundari Lal were the guests of honor.
Pt. R. K Bhat in his presidential speech said that the purpose of restructuring organizations through an internal democratic process is to unite the whole community on a single platform.
He said it’s my dream to see community organizations united so that genuine and ground-level leadership emerges through a democratic process and who can represent KP Community in true sense and spirit.
He further appealed to the community to come forward to support this initiative of YAIKS so that community concerns and issues are properly pleaded and addressed by the power corridors. This way, we can fulfil the aspirations of every Kashmiri Pandit, and the community will get constitutionalised in real sense.
Among others who addressed the gathering included D. N. Sadhu, B. L. Dhar, Bal K. Bhat, Sanjev Koul, Sajay Ganjoo and Manoj Handoo.
