JAMMU, Nov 16: Punjabi Sahitik Sabha (PSS), R.S Pura organized a function here today and released autobiography ‘Main Nimaani Kujh Na Jaana’, written by National Awardee Teacher Mohinder Kour (retired HM) in Punjabi.
The book is an account of anecdotes and happenings of the writer’s life.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, former Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages, Jammu presided over the function whereas Prof. Baljit Kour, former HoD, Department of Punjabi, University of Jammu was chief guest.
Dr. Pritam Singh, PG Department of Punjabi, University of Jammu and Master Surinder Singh were the special guests and Dr Rajvir Singh, president, PSS R.S Pura shared the dais.
The programme was conducted online with the author of the book, via teleconferencing from US and other guests from the US, Italy and Australia.
Harjit Singh Uppal, former president PSS, R.S Pura extended welcome address.
The guests were presented flower bouquets and mementos. Dr. Harsimran Singh, Department of Punjabi, JU presented a detailed research paper on the critical evaluation of the released book.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn said that content of the book would be an inspiring one for the readers.
Earlier, in her address, Dr. Baljit Kour said that the three different sections of the book describe her life experiences, hardships and success during childhood, during service and life after superannuation.
Dr. Pritam Singh, Surinder Singh and Dr. Rajvir Singh also expressed their views while Mohinder Kour spoke on her autobiography and thanked Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn and Dr. Baljit Kour for their guidance while she was writing her autobiography.
Proceedings of the programme were conducted by Sita, and vote of thanks was extended by Ratanjit Kour, from the family of Mohinder Kour.
