Sir,
The launch of PSLV-C23 is certainly another milestone in Indian space technology. The launch demonstrates Indian’s ability to compete with the countries that have already made a mark in space technology. PSLV-23 is a symbol of Indian’s growing confidence in building rockets of this nature. India has no longer to depend on foreign powers to launch our rockets. Rather it is opposite. PSLV on board had five foreign satellites. The PSLV launch will also open doors for commercial launch of rockets of other countries, and can help the ISRO financially. Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s suggestion that ISRO should develop a satellite for SAARC countries is also welcome. If such a thing materialises, it will foster a new relationship of mutual trust and respect among the member countries.
For time being, let us celebrate the success of the launch by appreciating and lauding the role of men behind the machine.
Yours etc…
