JAMMU, June 6: President of All J&K +2 PSC Lecturers’ Association, Manjeet Chib has expressed serious concern over reducing the span of summer break for which order was issued very recently.
In a statement, Chib said that it was a matter of concern that the span of summer break has been curtailed from 60 days to 40 days which is in no way in the interest of student community. He said that the decision of shrinking summer break has been taken without considering the up rise in temperature, poor infrastructure and lack of cooling facilities in Govt schools.
Stressing that the span of summer break should have been decided as per past practice, Chib urged Education Minister Sakina Itoo to intervene and redress the grievances in the larger interest of student community
Manjeet Chib also raised the issue of ATD 2025 and requested the Education Minister to issue transfer orders of lecturers of Jammu Division as well. He said that the delay in ATD has created frustration among +2 Lecturers particularly those working in hard zones and that too out of their parental districts. He said that Lecturers with mature stay but not transferred in previous ATD and those having medical grounds should be transferred on priority basis.
Chib appealed Education Minister to first issue transfer orders and thereafter adjust the promotees on clear vacancies without involving any transfer. Chib advocated the engagement of more CRCs in schools of remote and far off areas where posts are lying vacant so that the students may not suffer any more.
