RAJOURI, June 6: Residents from Muradpur held strong protest demonstration against the Electric Department for its failure to restore affected power supply to the area.
The villagers led by local Sarpanch Babu Ram assembled at main PDD office and started protest demonstration. They were shouting slogans against the Executive Engineer, AEE and Minister concerned. The villagers alleged that a transformer went out of order about a month back at Muradpur. The power supply has been snapped to many areas. Despite repeated requests to the concerned field staff, the transformer could not be repaired. They gave 24- hours ultimatum to PDD staff, failing which they would block Jammu-Poonch highway.
