Srinagar, June 24: The students of Kashmir University today protested against the arrest of their colleague by police for his alleged militant links.
The students marched through the campus and demanded immediate release of Muzamil Ahmad of the English Department. They demanded immediate release of Muzamil who has been lodged in Police Station Rajbagh.
Muzamil was arrested for alleged militant links which police is investigating. His family and colleages, however, allege he is being framed and the charges against him are baseless.
They also met Vice Chancellor who assured them that the matter has been taken up with the police authorities.
