JAMMU, Oct 20: The ongoing protest demonstration of Female Multipurpose Health Workers (FMPHWs) of Jammu Division today entered day 55th.
Meanwhile, a deputation of FMPHWs of District Doda met with Advisors Vijay Kumar and Kurshid Ganai and discussed their demands.
Director Health Services and Director Family Welfare invited the leaders of JKMEF and FMPHWs Association to discuss the demands of FMPHWs.
Demands of protesting FMPHWs include delinking of CSS salary from the funding sources and release the pending salary of FMPHWs since March 2018.
Other demands included clearance to the DPC of FMPHW as LHV etc and fixing of job functions of FMPHWs at par other working categories of health sector.
Up-gradation of the post of FMPHW on the analogy of Pharmacist, Lab Tech, X-Ray Tech, Dental Tech and Ophthalmic Tech; creation of post of LHVs in new PHCs; seniority list of FMPHWs to be uploaded on official website of health department for transparency in promotions and 50 per cent quota in favour of trained LHVs at par with MMPHSs promoted as Health Educators were among other demands.
Prominent among those present in the protest were Sushil Sudan, President JKMEF, Neelam Kumari, President FMPHWs, Vinod Sharma and others.
