The local people including women came out on the road and assembled at Main Chowk in the town at around 11.30 am. They burnt the effigy of Government and held strong protest. These people alleged that consumer is facing hardships and the Administration was just watching as helpless body. The oil company men have given free hand to victimize people. The gas is not available, long queues are seen at outlets and the home delivery has been stopped. Even those connections which are verified, the home delivery has not been ensured to those families.
These people alleged that  dhaba owners, rehari wallas, hotel and restaurant owners etc were getting supply due to established nexus between agency staff  and  middle men engaged to ensure these supplies. Majority of them are securing domestic cylinders but general public has been denied supply, they maintained.
