JAMMU, Dec 12: Property worth several lakhs was gutted in fire, which broke out in a shop at Rajinder Bazaar late last night.
As per police sources, a fire broke out in a general goods shop probably due to short circuit at Rajinder Bazaar late last night.
The shop was owned by Vishu Arora, son of Vijay Arora, a resident of New Plot.
After getting information, police team rushed to the spot and informed the Department of Fire and Emergency Services.
On receiving information, two fire tenders along with fire fighters reached the spot and started operation to douse the flames.
After hectic efforts, the fire was brought under control, but till then the property worth several lakhs got damaged in inferno.
No injury or casualty has been reported in the incident, while the exact loss could not be ascertained yet.
