JAMMU, Nov 20: Vijay Aggarwal, a prominent industrialist, social activist and president of Association of Industries Samba passed away yesterday due to sudden cardiac arrest.
Aggarwal is survived by his wife, two sons and grand children. Starting at a very young age, he rose to become a successful businessman as well as a great philanthropist. During his lifetime, he donned many hats and performed many charitable duties selflessly.
To mention few of his achievements, he remained president of Chamber of Commerce & Industries Jammu, president of Bari Brahmana Industries Association, president of Aggarwal Dharamshala Jammu, Director J&K Bank Limited, Director SIDCO and SICOP. At present, he was serving as president, Association of Industries Samba.
He was profoundly involved in spiritual and religious activities besides being the trustee and member of managing committee of Swami Harigiri Hospital, Shree Rajeshwaran and Nursing & Training Institute Kakira Himachal Pradesh and allied Institutes and Ashrams.
