UDHAMPUR, July 29: A new book titled ‘A Manual of English Grammar’, authored by noted writer and educationist Ashok Sharma, was formally released today at a simple yet impressive function held in Udhampur.
The book was unveiled by renowned writer, historian and Padma Shri awardee Prof Shiv Nirmohi in the presence of Govind Ram Sharma (Principal Retd), Dev Raj Gupta (Principal Retd ), Rashpal Singh Rathore ( Principal Retd), noted archaeologist Anil Paba, Sr Lecturer Bharat Bhushan, Sr Lecturer Raspal Singh and Riaz Ahmed (Lecturer).
The dignitaries lauded Ashok Sharma for his valuable contribution to English literature and grammar. They praised his unwavering dedication, deep understanding of the English language and his reputation as a versatile grammarian across the Jammu region. They said the new book stands as a testament to his linguistic expertise and commitment to the teaching profession.
Prof Shiv Nirmohi, while addressing the gathering, said that ‘A Manual of English Grammar’ reflects the author’s rich teaching experience of nearly four decades in English at the secondary and higher secondary levels. He expressed confidence that the book would prove immensely beneficial for teacher-trainers, teachers, students and aspirants preparing for competitive examinations.
