JAMMU, Dec 7: Kuldeep Sharma, Member Central Social Welfare Board, Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India, has highlighted the grievances of social workers, NGO, Anganwari workers, Child labour and women workers engaged in various fields like Industrial units.
Addressing a press conference, Sharma told that as member, he has started functioning in the State and reviving the activities and function of Central Social Welfare Department in the State and has started to monitor the Central sponsored schemes funded under the social welfare schemes by the Union Ministry of Women and Child Development, Government of India for the smooth working and function of the Department at grass root level.
Kuldeep further said that a Central Social Welfare Board has constituted a monitoring committee for the State, whose members included Prof M Sultan and S Daljeet Singh from Kashmir region, Varinder Gupta, Dr Y S Manhas, V K Katal, Shak Mohd, Dr Prem Sharma and Mohd Yousf Beig.
Sharma added that the committee will work under the supervision of member, Central Social Welfare Board and monitor all Centre units, Anganwari centres across the State and will see that children get benefit of the facilities which are to be provided by the Union Ministry in the State.
