JAMMU, May 15: While strongly condemning the latest unjustified Municipal tax on the private schools & other business establishments, “Jammu Private Schools & ETT Institutes Association (Progressive)” criticized the anti people policies of Mehbooba led State coalition Government of Jammu-Kashmir.
In a statement issued here, today  Association said an amount of Rs1800-2000 per year was the Municipal Tax against schools earlier against none of the required facilities which has been enhanced as Rs 8400/- per year without any justification.
It is quite un-understandable on the part of State Government that on one hand almost badly failed to maintain the required standards of its local bodies’ administrative infrastructure and needed working parameters and on the other hand unjustified taxes are being imposed without extending any sort of facilities to the institutions, Association alleged.
Private schools have to work under a stress from all sides particularly the unlimited harassing tactics of the State rulers those are just focused on raising unjustified hurdles against the Private Sector educational institutions in the name of monitoring reforms just to shield their failure in providing free & quality education to masses, Association alleged. “Like other sections of the society, we too are fed-up with the dummy working of BJP as partner of State Government that totally lacks the art of governance including pinching problems of the masses’’, Association added.
