JAMMU, Feb 20: The members of central executive body of Private Schools Association called on Ahmad Farooq Dar, Additional Secretary, School Education Department and apprised him of the hardships being faced by the private schools of the entire State in getting recognition on the basis of affiliation.
The deputation, comprising of its president Kamal Gupta, State coordinator Ajay Gupta and others, lamented that despite their representation, the Government was not giving relief to the private schools, which are mostly being run by the educated unemployed youth of the State.
Kamal Gupta urged the Additional Secretary to dispose of all the files by granting recognition on the basis of affiliation on the basis of previous SRO 259.
Ajay Gupta State Coordinator demanded that pick and choose policy for the recognition should be stopped. He said some of the influential schools owners have managed recognition for their schools without giving any formalities as demanded by the most of the schools. He said mushrooming of private schools should also be checked.
