Prices of non-subsidised cylinder cut by 7.5 per cent

NEW DELHI :  State-owned  fuel retailers have slashed prices of non-subsidised cooking gas by up to 7.5 per cent following a decline in the international prices of gas.
In Delhi, a 14.2-kg non-subsidised liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder will cost Rs 517.50 from October 1, compared with Rs 559.50 last month, according to the statement from Indian oil Corporation.
Similarly, a 19.2-kg LPG cylinder will now cost 4.2 per cent less at Rs 963. The price of a subsidised LPG cylinder remains unchanged at Rs 417.82. About 3 million households have given up their LPG subsidy in recent months.
Companies review prices of LPG and jet fuel every month, while prices of petrol and diesel are considered for revision every fortnight.
The prices of petrol have been left untouched for the current fortnight, but diesel has become dearer by Rs 0.50 a litre. In Delhi, diesel is priced at Rs 44.95 a litre.  (UNI)
