UDHAMPUR, May 9: Municipal Councillor, Preeti Khajuria here today started road blacktopping work in Subhash Nagar and Bharat Nagar areas of Ward no. 1.
The work shall be completed at an expenditure of Rs. 14 lakh.
Speaking on the occasion the Councillor said that condition of the road in Bharat Nagar was very bad and it was almost impossible to walk through it but now due to road repair and blacktopping, people can move through it with an ease.
She said, now the construction work of all the main roads of her Ward has been completed but still there are many problems due to lack of funds.
“The second main problem is sewerage work, due to which streets, drains and roads are dug again and again but not repaired in time,” she maintained.
