Srinagar, Sept 12: National Conference president Dr Farooq Abdullah, who along with Chief Minister Omar Abdullah offered Friday prayers at Hazratbal today said that he prayed for peace and prosperity.

Speaking to reporters after the prayers, Farooq said that Muslims across the world are suffering because we are away from the Almighty.
“Until we get closer to Him, and do away with “dishonesty and other sins”, Abdullah said “the Almighty will not forgive us.”
“I pray to Him to forgive us, to bring the people of J&K out of these hardships, to have mercy on India, and to let brotherhood prevail so that Hindus and Muslims live in peace.”
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today joined thousands of devotees in offering Jumma (Friday) prayers at the revered Hazratbal shrine on the occasion of the Friday following of Milad-un-Nabi (SAW). Click here to watch video
On this blessed occasion, the Chief Minister also had the honour of witnessing the sacred glimpse (deedar) of the Holy Relic of Prophet Muhammad (SAW) after the congregational prayers.
He prayed for peace, prosperity, and happiness for the people of Jammu and Kashmir.
Advisor to the Chief Minister, Nasir Aslam Wani, also accompanied him on the occasion.
