Pranab Mukherjee’s understanding of constitution defined his tenures in public offices: Amit Shah

NEW DELHI, Dec 11 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah, remembering former President Pranab Mukherjee on his birth anniversary on Thursday, said that the former Congress leader dedicated his life to the service of people.

Shah paid tributes to Mukherjee and also said that his life and works will continue to inspire country’s democratic journey in times to come.

The Home Minister, taking to social media platform X, stated that Mukherjee’s profound understanding of the constitution defined his tenures in public offices.

Meanwhile, Shah also paid tribute to RSS’s third ‘Sarsanghchalak’ Balasaheb Deoras on his birth anniversary.

Shah said that Deoras played a pivotal role in transforming RSS from its inception to a massive organization, expanding its reach across the nation.

He said that Deoras faced the emergency with courage and bravely fought against it, while inspiring the youth back then to focus on character building, and the nation-first ideology.

The HM also said that Deoras, fought against social discrimination throughout his life, and firmly believed that if untouchability is not considered a sin in this world, then nothing is.

“He strongly advocated for social equality, and will forever be like a beacon, illuminating country’s national and social life, while his legacy will continue to inspire everyone,” Shah added.
