KATHUA, Feb 27: The Prakash Utsav of Sant Gora Ji was celebrated with religious fervor here today.
In this regard a programme was organized by Prajapati Sabha, district Kathua under the overall supervision of OBC leader Bishan Dass.
MLA Kathua, Dr Bharat Bhushan was the chief guest, while former Minister Rachpal Verma and senior OBC leader Sunil Prajapati from Jammu were the special guests on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Prajapati Sabha district president, Bishan Dass outlined the need for educating the youth and said that the organization is fighting against various evils which are prevalent in society and working for spreading education and awareness among the society.
He demanded installation of a deep bore well in the complex besides providing funds for the construction of a community Hall.
Dr Bharat Bhushan in his address appreciated the good work done by the Prajapati Sabha for spreading education, fighting social evils like dowry and indiscriminate show- off during marriages.
He assured to address the issues raised by sabha in a phased manner.
Among others who were present during the event included Dr Shiv Kumar, Dr C R Munday, Sushil Gupta and former CEO Municipal Council Kathua, Kartar Singh.
A langar was also served to devotees on the occasion.
