JAMMU, Nov 23: The Office of the Principal Accountant General, Jammu organized a multifaceted event on Sunday that combined fitness, civic responsibility, and environmental stewardship.
The day’s proceedings commenced with an Audit Run from Muthi to Canal Head, inaugurated by Tsewang Tharchin, Accountant General in the presence of Mukesh Kumar Bramhane, Senior Deputy Accountant General. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from officers and staff of PAG (A&E), AG (Audit), and RCB&KI Jammu, along with their families. Children aged 5 to 12 years joined in a special 2-kilometre segment of the run, adding a vibrant and inclusive spirit to the occasion.
Following the run, participants gathered for a cleanliness drive in the vicinity of the Canal Head, reinforcing the department’s commitment to public hygiene and community engagement. The initiative was well-received and actively supported by staff members across cadres.
The celebrations continued with a prize distribution ceremony held at the office premises, where winners of the Audit Run were felicitated. The ceremony was marked by camaraderie and appreciation for collective efforts.
In the concluding segment of the program, a plantation drive was undertaken, with officers and staff planting saplings within and around the office campus. The initiative aimed to promote environmental awareness and contribute to a greener workplace.
The event was coordinated under the supervision of nodal officers Anita Dhar and Pankaj Saini, and was part of a series of activities scheduled from 17 to 28 November to commemorate the foundation of the Institution of the Comptroller and Auditor General of India.
The successful execution of the program reflected the department’s dedication to holistic development, blending professional pride with social responsibility.
