POONCH, Jan 10: Pir Panjal Awami Party (PPAP) has strongly condemned the State Government’ Cabinet Sub-Committee for creation of new administrative units, which visited the district on Thursday.
In a joint statement, patron of the party, Raja Mohd Abass Khan and president, Mohd Younis Chauhan, stated that visit of Cabinet Sub-Committee is merely eyewash and nothing. It is wastage of both time and money, as the Committee did not bother to meet cross sections of people and representatives of opposition parties, they said adding it (Committee) met only the representatives of coalition, who had already decided where such units are to be created.
Duo (Khan and Chouhan) further said that the administrative units already functioning lack men power and are functioning on adhoc mechanism. Various posts of Tehsildars, BDOs, Engineers, Patwaries, VLWs, Teachers, Headmasters and clerical staff in various departments are lying vacant and the Government is befooling the people by showing such proposal only to get votes in the coming Parliamentary and Assembly elections, they maintained.
