Potato futures fall 0.90 pc on low demand

NEW DELHI, Jan 17: Potato prices fell by 0.90 per cent to Rs 1,023.30 per quintal in futures market today as speculators offloaded their positions due to low demand in spot markets against higher supplies from producing belts.
At the Multi Commodity Exchange, potato prices for March fell by Rs 9.30, or 0.90 per cent, to Rs 1023.30 per quintal in business turnover of 411 lots.
Market experts attributed the fall in potato prices at futures trade to low demand in the spot market against higher supplies from producing regions. (AGENCIES)
