POONCH, July 30: The subscribers of telecommunication companies Airtel and BSNL, hailing from border belt of Balakote, Mendhar, Mankote, Poonch and Mandi area are facing lot of hardships due to poor facilities.
The subscribers have complained about erratic call drop, cracked voice and very poor internet services in this LOC belt for the last several weeks. They alleged that matter has been brought to the notice of concerned officials of Poonch-Rajouri sectors but no imrpvment has been seen in the service. The Airtel service which was earlier better has now been deteriorated badly in this entire belt.
The Airtel subscribers from Harni Mendhar, Gultha, Ari, Kalaban, Chattral, Kallar Mohra, Sakimadan , Baloni and Uchhad in Mendhar, besides Jhullas, Shahpur, Mandi Saujian, Loran area of Poonch alleged that they are facing immense problems due to erratic call drops and internet services.
“We are unable to access the internet as every time it shows errors while opening the pages on it and also echo and frequent call drops while calling to others,” a subscriber said.
“Although Airtel is the leading telecommunication company, but the company failed to provide quality calling and internet service to the people of these villages,” he added.
The subscribers appealed to the head of Operations in J&K of the concerned companies to restore the proper services as they are paying the hefty bills to them regularly, otherwise they would move to the Consumers Court.
