POONCH, Sept 3: Pakistani authorities handed over a Poonch resident to their Indian counterparts at Chakan Da Bagh LoC point today.
He has been identified as Mohd Rashid (30), son of Abdul Satar, a resident of Degwar Terwan in Poonch.
Officials said that a missing report was entered on Ist August, 2022 after his family approached and said that he is missing since August 30, 2022.
Family members said that today police called us to identify him. He had crossed border inadvertantly and today Pak authorities handed over him to India troops.
“He is mentally sick and had crossed border unintentionally,” they added.
Station House Officer Poonch, Insp Ranjit Rao said that Police was on the job to trace him. Today received an information that PoK authorities are going to handover him to Indian Army.
