POONCH, Jan 23: Poonch Gladiators will take on Poonch Royals in the final of the Volleyball League Tournament, being organized by Shaheed Manjit Singh Volleyball Club at Degree College ground, here.
Earlier, in the last league match, Poonch Royals defeated Poonch Thunder Bolts by 3-2 (15-11, 15-13, 12-15, 14-15, 15-10) in a close and entertaining contest.
Deputy Superintendent of Police (DySP) Operations, Munish Sharma was the special guest, who interacted with the teams on the occasion.
Amidst message of adopting sports as a career, Mr Sharma quoted the example of international spiker, Saqlain Tariq, who rose from a modest beginning of a school level player from border town of Poonch to a professional sportsman.
He also appreciated the role of chairman, Manjit Singh Club for promoting the game of Volleyball.
