JAMMU, Mar 12: Police today succeeded in uniting a youth with his family in Doda district within few hours after he left the house after failing in the exam and was moving at Vijaypur along Jammu-Samba road in utter depression. But for timely intervention by the police, the youth could have fallen in wrong hands.
A police team headed by SDPO Vijaypur SS Samyal patrolling the National Highway spotted the youth moving alone along the Highway near Vijaypur along with his bag. They took him to Vijaypur police station, where he disclosed his identity as Atif son of Mohammad Abbas, a resident of village Neel in Bhalessa area of Doda district.
He revealed that his father is a Master Grade teacher. The youth, aged 18, had failed in the plus two examinations and was in depression. He had left the house and reached here. Having exhausted all the money, he was walking alone on the highway along with his academic record and some books in a bag.
After listening to the woes of the student, the SDPO established contact with his father, who admitted that his son had gone missing and they were searching him.
After verifying credentials of the student and finding his story true, Vijaypur police established contact with their counterparts in Doda. A police party from Doda is reaching here to take possession of the missing youth and restore him to his family.
