RAJOURI, Aug 29: In its continued drive against illegal mining, Rajouri Police today seized two vehicles engaged in illegal extraction and transportation of minerals.
The action was taken by the police team under the supervision of SHO Rajouri, Inspector Abid Hussain Shah during routine checking at workshop Bridge Rajouri.
During the checking, a vehicle bearing registration number JK02AQ-1209, driven by Mohd Iqbal S/o Khizer Mohd, R/o Fatehpur Rajouri, was found involved in illegal mining activities.
Similarly, another vehicle bearing registration number JK11D-6547, driven by Manzoor Hussain S/o Nazir Hussain, R/o Fatehpur Rajouri, was also intercepted for indulging in the same offence.
Both vehicles were immediately seized on the spot and strict legal action has been initiated against the drivers and owners concerned as per law.
