SAMBA, Dec 13: Continuing its drive against illegal mining in successive day, Samba police has seized seven dumpers in the jurisdiction of Police Stations (PS) Samba and Ghagwal which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO PS Samba, in charge Police Post (PP) Supwal of PS Samba and in charge PP Rajpura, of PS Ghagwal while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized seven dumpers bearing Registration Numbers, JK21G-0372, JK21J-6799, JK02BF-1931, JK21F-5586, JK21G-7799, JK21D-9880, JK02AT-6267 which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
All the vehicles have been seized by Samba Police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action, police said.
The seizure was made under the supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Minhas.
