SAMBA, Oct 6,: Continuing its crackdown on illegal mining, Samba Police has seized 12 vehicles including seven dumpers across the district which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material.
Police said its teams headed by SHO PS Samba, SHO PS Vijaypur, in charges Police Posts of Supwal and Rakh Amb Talli of PS Samba and in charge Police Post Utterbehani of PS Purmandal while performing patrolling duty in their jurisdictional areas, have seized seven dumpers bearing Registration Numbers JK21G-9285, JK20A-4415, JK21-8772, JK02CK-0835, JK21J-8082, JK21J-6799, JK21J-5799, three tractor trolleys bearing Registration Numbers JK21A-6022, JK21G-7975, JK14H-7190 and two tractor trolleys without number which were being used for illegal transportation/mining of the construction material in the area.
Police said all the vehicles have been seized by Samba police and handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba for further legal action.
The seizure was made under the supervision of SSP Samba Virinder Manhas.
