Police secures community punishment conviction in Janipur

Jammu, Aug 29: Jammu and Kashmir Police in Janipur achieved a community punishment conviction after Sanjeev Kumar alias Monu of Paloura was caught creating nuisance under intoxication and produced before the Forest Magistrate JMIC by PSI Rohit Manhas.
The court directed him to clean Shiv Mandir Paloura daily for three days under the supervision of SHO Janipur, Inspector Vikram Sharma.
Police officials said the sentence is meant to reform the accused through community service instead of traditional punishment, sending out a strong message against public nuisance.
They added that such steps encourage offenders to make amends while contributing positively to society.
