JAMMU, Nov 12: Jammu and Kashmir Police under Operation “Re-Connect” successfully recovered and returned 50 lost and stolen smartphones worth more than Rs 10 lakh to their rightful owners in Jammu district.
The recovery drive, carried out over the past two months by the Technical Team of Jammu Police Headquarters Zone, traced the devices from different parts of Jammu and Kashmir as well as other States.
These phones had been reported missing in various police stations and border police posts across the zone.
The recovered smartphones were handed over to the owners in a simple function organised by the SP Headquarters Jammu, IH Rather, at his office.
The ceremony witnessed emotional moments as citizens were reunited with their devices containing valuable memories and personal data.
Grateful beneficiaries expressed appreciation for the Jammu and Kashmir Police’s efforts and thanked the team for their dedication in ensuring public trust and service delivery through such citizen-friendly initiatives.
