Police rescues 12 bovines, smuggler flee

JAMMU, Jan 7: Kanachack police today rescued 12 bovine animals, while the smuggler managed to escape from the spot.
A police spokesman said that, on specific inputs, a party from Police Station Kanachack laid a naka at Simbali Wala and intercepted a truck bearing registration number JK02AG-6587.
During search, police recovered 12 bovine animals, which were being smuggled from Jammu to Poonch, he said, adding that the driver of the vehicle managed to escape from the spot.
A case under FIR number 2/14 under Section 188 RPC has been registered at Police Station Kanachack and investigation is going on.
