UDHAMPUR, July 23: Within 24 hours, Udhampur Police has recovered a stolen truck, loaded with IMF liquor worth Rs 21 lakh.
The said truck bearing registration number JK02AF-4517 and loaded with IMF Liquor was recovered from Ramkot in Kathua district even as the thief managed to escape from the spot taking advantage of the darkness.
Acting on a written complaint regarding theft of one truck loaded with IMF liquor, a case FIR number 65/2018, U/S 379/RPC was registered in Police Station Chenani and subsequently Police Party of P/S Chenani, led by SHO Sanjeev Chib, under the supervision of SDPO Chanderjeet Singh, conducted raids in different suspected locations utilizing human and technical intelligence and ultimately recovered the said truck from Ramkote, Kathua with the active coordination of I/C PP Ramkote SI Pawan Singh.
Police teams have been dispatched to different suspected locations to arrest the absconding thief and further investigation of the case is going on.
