POONCH, Sept 30: Cyber Cell of Poonch police has achieved a major breakthrough by recovering Rs 3,83,000 in a cyber fraud case, where a complainant had been duped of Rs 7,00,000 by fraudsters.
The victim had approached Cyber Police Station Poonch with a complaint after being deceived by unknown cyber criminals. Acting promptly, the Cyber Police team initiated technical investigations, traced the fraudulent transactions, and coordinated with concerned banks and financial institutions. As a result of timely efforts, an amount of Rs 3.83 lakh was successfully recovered and credited back to the complainant’s account.
