UDHAMPUR, July 26: The Cyber Cell of District Police Udhampur has successfully recovered and refunded an amount of Rs 1,64,938.91/- in seven different cyber fraud complaints.
After receiving these complaints, the Cyber Cell team at DPO Udhampur swung into action, initiated inquiries, and promptly started the process of reversal and recovery of the defrauded amount.
As a result, the total amount of Rs 1.64 lakh has been successfully credited to the victims’ accounts, including Rs 1, 05,100/- to Ravinder Singh (Panchari), Rs 25,000/- to Neha Rana (Udhampur), Rs 23,500/- to Balbir Singh (Mand) and others.
Udhampur Police has once again appealed to the general public to stay vigilant, avoid sharing sensitive information online, and report any cyber fraud immediately on helpline number 1930.
