UDHAMPUR, May 31: Cyber Cell of District Police Udhampur has successfully recovered and refunded Rs 1,03,384 in seven different complaints of fraud.
After receiving these complaints, team of Cyber Cell DPO Udhampur swung into the action and initiated the process of reversal and recovery of the amount. As a result, the amount of Rs 1.03 lakh of total cheated amount was recovered and credited to the victims’ accounts.
Rs 28,300 was credited to the account of Anju Rani (Garhi), Rs 21,031 to Subash Kumar (Nagulta), and Rs 18,800/- to Sharmeela Sharma (Adarsh Colony) among others.
This brings the total cyber fraud recovery to Rs 37,55,715 since its inception. Udhampur Police have urged the general public of district Udhampur to stay alert and avoid sharing sensitive information online.
