POONCH, Dec 28: In a drive against the drug menace, Police recovered psychotropic substances during a special naka at Jogi Morh, in Surankote.
A police team led by Ajaz Wani, SHO Police Station Surankote, had established a special naka at the location. During checking and frisking, one pedestrian was stopped and subjected to a personal search. During the search, five strips of Tramadol and two strips of Pragacip (Pregabalin) were recovered from his possession.
The accused was identified as Ikhlaq Ahmed, son of Nisar Ahmed, resident of Lassana, Tehsil Surankote. Accordingly, a case FIR No. 300/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Surankote.
