JAMMU, Feb 11: Police today claimed that they have recovered an e-rickshaw that was reported stolen from the Roop Nagar area.
One Tanvir Kumar lodged a written complaint with Police Station Janipur, stating therein that his newly purchased vehicle was stolen from outside his residence at Sector 7, Upper Roop Nagar, Shanti Nagar, near Fortis Lab, Janipur, on the intervening night of February 9-10, a police official said.
Accordingly, he said, a case FIR number 20 of 2026 under the relevant sections of the law was registered at Police Station Janipur and investigation entrusted to PSI Vivek Daliya under the supervision of SHO Janipur, Inspector Vikram Sharma.
The investigation team used human and technical intelligence to trace and recover the stolen vehicle worth approximately Rs 5 lakh, he said, adding that further investigation into the matter is underway.
