Police recover misplaced BMD machine worth Rs 7 lakh

JAMMU, Dec 23: Jammu and Kashmir Police have recovered a misplaced trolley bag containing a Bone Mineral Density (BMD) machine worth about Rs 7 lkh in the Gangyal area of Jammu and handed it over to its owner.
Police said a verbal complaint was received at Police Station Gangyal from one R K Choudhary, who reported that one of his employees had misplaced the trolley bag while travelling from Jammu to Delhi near the Kunjwani Bypass.
The bag contained a BMD machine used for demonstration purposes and was fitted with an inbuilt GPS system, which helped trace its last location around one point seven kilometres from the bypass.
Acting swiftly, a police team launched a search in the indicated area and, after sustained efforts, successfully recovered the bag along with the machine, a police official said.
He said the property was later handed over to the complainant after completing necessary verification and legal formalities.
