SRINAGAR, May 15: Police organized a five day workshop on work culture of Police Stations & Prosecution, which was inaugurated by the District & Sessions Judge, Raja Shujat Ali Khan at District Police Lines Ganderbal today.
A Police spokesman said that the judge outlined and emphasised upon the pivotal role of the police investigating agencies in the delivery of criminal justice system as envisioned and mandated within the constitutional frame work and also addressed the issues faced by the investigating agencies especially the investigating officers before the different benches of Criminal Courts.
He said in the concluding session, SSP Ganderbal thanked the Hon’ble Judge for sparing his valuable time to address and interacted with the participants.
“He assured the Hon’ble judge that the suggestions made by him regarding the investigation procedures will be implemented in letter and spirit in the district,” he said
He added that the workshop will continue till 18th of May.” Subjects like Drafting of FIR, Administration Matters, safety of accused persons, attitude and behaviour and lock up maintenance, Role of MHC in record building/ hygiene and cleanness, Public police relationship and Maintenance of records of Police Station including malkhana will be covered in the said course,” he added.
