RAJOURI, June 28: The police in its drive against drug trafficking, achieved success by apprehending a drug-peddler and recovering narcotics from his possession.
During routine patrolling on National Highway, a police party from Police Station Rajouri intercepted a suspicious person who was moving from Salani Bridge towards Tariq Bridge. On noticing the police presence, the individual attempted to flee but was apprehended by the alert patrolling team.
During questioning, the accused disclosed his identity as Arun Kumar, son of Dina Nath, resident of Bhawani, Nowshera, district Rajouri.
On his personal search 6 gms of heroin was recovered from his possession. A case FIR No. 337/2025 under relevant Sections of the NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Rajouri.
